Why havent I got a Shedinja on Y?

Question

Basically on my Pokemon Y I raised my nincada up to lv 20 and I defiantly left a space in my team for it to go but once nincada evolved Shedinja didn't appear? Why was that?

Did you have a poke Ball in your bag? shedinja wont appear unless you evolve nincada with an empty space in your party AND a PokeBall in your party, not a variation like an ultra ball, or a net ball.

Didnt realise they made it so you needed a pokeball,  havent used thwm since thw very beginning,  thanks a lot

Did you have a regular pokeball in your bag? To evolve into shedinja, you need an extra space as well as an ordinary pokeball.
