so, almost all teams I have made, has been "special teams" (baton pass, weather, o.s.v) thats why I will try to build a "pro" team with sweepers and tanks and things like that. so I'm looking for how many you should have of each roles in one team
i wanna see it like this:
example

-spinner
-sweeper
-sweeper
-annoyer
-tank
-hazzard setter

Smgon writes that an offensively sound team should have:

  • Lead
  • Breaker 1
  • Breaker 2
  • Pivot
  • Sweeper
  • Speed

This is a Smogon framework that isn't too complicated. The lead was supposedly tarnished by Team Preview, but it still maintains effectiveness. Its usually something to set up hazards or screens or prevent them by using Taunt. Breker might be a new term, but all it is is a Pokemon who maintains pressure on something that walls your main sweeper. Your pivot is your Pokemon who's usually bulky enough to tank hits and do something like Rapid Spin or Defog (Itimidators work extremely well as well). Your sweeper is usually the Pokemon the team is built around. If you want to build a team with around Mega Scizor who has the moves Swords Dance / Roost / Bullet Punch / Bug Bite, then you'll need to orient your other Pokemon around it to ensure it is successful. Scizor is walled by fire and steel types so your Breakers would be Ground types like Landorus. Finally you have Speed which is really capable of finishing off a team or finishing offa threat on your opponent's team. Usually its a Pokemon with Choice Scarf, but there are Pokemon who are able to get easy boosts like Sharpedo and Dragon Dance Dragonite.
