Do revives cure unhappiness?

Question

So if a Pokemon faints in a battle it loses it's happiness; but what if you used a revive after that Pokemon fainted whilst still in the same battle? Would it regain it's happiness?

They don't cure unhappiness but they do raise your Pokemon's happiness to you by a bit because you used an item on it.

Ok, so Gen 6 mechanics are not known exactly however if we assume them to be similar to Gen 5 mechanics then using any item on a Pokemon does not raise it's happiness. This means that your Pokemon gets -1 happiness, and using a revive will not increase it.

Keep in mind that this is for Gen 5 so Gen 6 may be different.
