If I have a Ampharos and a Manectric with Minus, would the ability work?

I have an Ampharos and a Manectric with those abilities and I wanted to know if they could power each other up.

I have an amphy and I'm training my newly caught electrike! Electrike has lightning rod and I'm gonna use the girl as another electric so I can transfer her ( yup she's a girl ) to my x game from pearl. I have the mega stone for manectric and amphy so I'll train them in pearl and transfer them to x! I just got my x game so having high level sweepers in a very early stage of the game makes it a lot easier.My  team is delphox,empoleon,venusaur,florges,manectric&ampharos.I know ground could be a major weakness but empoleon's there to cover that up,and there's venusaur too.

Ups Sp. Atk if another Pokémon has Plus or Minus.

So yeah it would work

Though they both don't have Minus only Manectric does. Ampharos has Plus as it's Hidden Ability but the concept is still the same. Also in competitive terms Lightiningrod > Minus on Manectric and Static > Plus on Ampharos.

From Generation V onwards two Pokemon with Minus power-up each other's Sp. Atk.
