Does Destiny Bond work with Status effects and weather?

If I use Destiny Bond and in the same turn I faint due to weather or Toxic or Burn or something, would that still take down the other Pokemon to?

No.

Destiny Bond only takes effect if the opponent kills you through an attack. Passive Damage doesn't activate it.

What if you are damaged by added effects of the opponents move? (E.g. damage from Flame Burst)
