Why was it super effective?

Question

I was playing Pokemon Black 2 and I used my shiny Metagross in a battle. My friend's Serperior had Giga Drain, and used it on my Metagross. I was expecting it to say, "it's not very effective...",
but it said, "it's super effective!" Does anyone know why that happened?

Well, theres two reasons I can see here:

• a glitch (most likely)
• someone used soak on metagross

The only way it can happen is if someone...

• Used Soak on Metagross previously
• You have Conversion or Conversion 2 on it and it changed it's type to something weak to grass.
• Your friend hacks
