So if they're cutting WiFi from these older games, does that mean I can still access it on my 3DS or not?

It says that online play and matchmaking is being discontinued. So you can still use infrared and trade with someone right next to you, but you can't connect to something like the GTS anymore. So if you have Pokemon deposited in the GTS, take em out.

B/W 2 hasn't lived its full life yet. It angers me to think they're cutting Gen 5 service. Gen 4 I get but really Nintendo?

nintendo is cutting the DS Wifi connection, meaning you cant play DS games with wifi (the generation 4-5 games) . Pokemon X/Y is on the 3DS wifi connection
