If I had a Gigalith with maxed out Attack IV, Adamant Nature, hold a Choice band, Max out it's attack stat, use Explosion, with the help of Helping hand.

Would Shuckle survive?

Best answer

Gigalith's max Attack is 405x1.5 (Choice Band)=607.5
Explosion max base power=250x1.5 (Helping Hand)=375.
Critical Hit

vs.

Shuckle's worst Defense=418
Worst HP=181
No Sturdy

I used a DMG calculator from Smogon, and there is a guaranteed KO
(120.9-142.5%)

Guranteed KO

Try it-Smogon Damage Calculator

With no Critical hit, 81.3% chance of KO (97.3-114.6%)

81.3% chance of KO (97.3-114.6%), No Crit., No Sturdy

Incorrect since explosion is weaken in a double battle, halves shuckles defence and you did not include helping hand
Unless sturdy is in play

Yes if shuckle has sturdy

Level one hundred shuckle without sturdy with minimal defence status will faint.
244 is max hp for shuckle 291 is minimal for that attack with minimal defence
215 average to maximum defense shuckle

TRICK ANSWER: Just use Stone Edge instead. Even max defenses Shuckle has a chance to be one-shot. With Helping Hand OR Choice Band (effects are interchangeable):
252+ Atk Choice Band Gigalith Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Shuckle: 216-254 (88.5 - 104%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

Actual answer: With 252HP standard EV's It lives. Even when it has no defense EV's.

DOUBLES:
252+ Atk Choice Band Gigalith Helping Hand Explosion vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Shuckle: 123-145 (50.4 - 59.4%) -- 80.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

SINGLES (yeahhhh as if it can get Helping Hand, but we're just here for completion):
252+ Atk Choice Band Gigalith Helping Hand Explosion vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Shuckle: 164-193 (67.2 - 79%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Note that 252 HP is a given for Shuckle. No one in their right mind will run 0 HP EV's on Shuckle. Plus, it won't even be 1-shot with 0 HP, -Def Nature in Doubles.
