Of course you can. You can run whatever set you want(unless it's a Pokemon like Wobbuffet). A lot of them probably won't be effective though. But Scolipede has decent attack, good speed and Speed Boost. A sweeper set with Swords Dance could be very threatening, and speed boost allows him to outspeed Greninja after one turn.
So you can run sweeper sets, but it might not be effective in battle if the Pokemon is a wall with bad offensive stats.
