Is it logical to say that the legendaries have a gender?

Question

Based on the way legendaries look and the way they are put forth, is it possible that GameFreak inc. intended for them to look like they have a gender when they don't actually have one?
EX.
Zekrom: Boy
Reshiram: Girl
Palkia: Girl
Dialga: Boy

What makes you think those particular legendaries are meant to have those particular genders? I completely disagree with your reading, for instance; on what basis do you think Game Freak views them the way you do, rather than the way I do or anyone else does?

Don't get me wrong; I know a lot of people view it the way you do, based on human stereotypes - Reshiram is white and fluffy and more delicate while Zekrom is black and more heavyset, and Palkia is pink while Dialga is blue. But overall Game Freak do not generally design Pokémon in accordance with human stereotypes - just look at how Machamp, which reads "masculine" to modern-day humans, has identical genders, and how the extremely 'girly'-looking Sylveon has Eevee's 87.5% male gender ratio.

On the other hand, in the anime some genderless legendary Pokémon have been given voices obviously intended to be masculine/feminine, and while this means nothing about Game Freak's original intentions since they're not in charge of the anime, it does mean it makes sense for people to view e.g. Mewtwo as male.

Well yes and no as some Legendary Pokémon do have genders, while others seem to posses masculine or feminine characteristics, while others are just genderless.

First of all let's start with Legendary Pokémon who are confirmed to be Male or Female.

Despite all these Pokémon supposedly being genderless many have masculine or feminine characteristics for example I would class Arceus as a male even though it's genderless because of it's name origon:

In my personal opinion I'd say most Legendary Pokémon were made genderless so it was perfectly clear you couldn't breed them in the games. Despite this there have been several baby Pokémon eggs in the games such as the Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres eggs in Pokémon Snap and the Manaphy eggs in Pokemon Battle Revolution, Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia and Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. There have also been baby genderless Legendary Pokémon in the Anime such as Silver, the baby Lugia in EP220. In the episode Silver had wandered away from its parent which you could speculate that it was it's mother. Despite being genderless and being unable to breed because they are in the undiscovered egg group they must of bred someway to keep the species alive and be able to get eggs.

I would say it is logical that some genderless Legendary Pokémon have been designed to look Male or Female but unless you can give evidence it's just your personal opinion. As in my personal opinion Reshiram and Palkia seem more like Males than Females as you suggested but that's just in my opinion and anyway their confirmed genderless.

Also if Mew is the ancestor of all Pokémon why is it genderless and in the undiscovered egg group? (Well obviously so you can't breed it in the games but...)

Also in the Anime there have been many genderless Legendary Pokémon over the years with Male/Female voices, in particular in the Dub Mewtwo (1st Movie), Lugia (2nd Movie), Entei (3rd Movie), Darkrai (10th Movie), Arceus (12th Movie) and Cobalion, Terrakion and Keldeo (15th Movie) all had Male voices while Virizion (15th Movie) and Mewtwo (16th Movie) had Female voices. Even though they say that most legendaries are genderless, my brain automatically chooses a gender for them because of their the characteristics or voices. To me, the genderless ones that are male to me are Articuno, Zaptos, Moltes, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Regigigas, Giratina, Darkrai, Arceus, Cobalion, Terrakion, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Yveltal, and Zygarde.
The female to me are Diance, Xerneas, Meloetta, Reshiram, Virizion, Manaphy, Mesprit, Uxie, Celebi, and Victini. Suicune seems more of a guy to me but partually like a girl (Shaymin), while Deoxys and  Genesect is just nothing. But that's just me.

What is wrong with people who think palkia ( my fav water legendary ) is a girl????
I know it's pink/purple but there ARE guys that have those colors. Just look at mewtwo! It's purple , but yet there are some that prefer mewtwo to be a boy . Mew is pink yet I ( Idk with others bit this is for me ) find mew to be a guy. While I do agree that reshiram is girl ( same with what you think on zekrom too ) it just sorta gives me a weird feeling that it makes me want to use outrage on the people that think this ( don't worry though I'm still sane and won't do that ) . I have certain gender stuff that you wouldn't wanna know , as it might make you feel the way I do about your ( this is only for some ) palkia gender thingy. Like Stardust , I disagree to most of the genders you gave ( most of them are in my opinion girls but you , in your opinion think of them to be as guys ) also I think of deoxys to be a girl and genesect to be a guy ( most of them ) . That is only my opinion so no offense if this somehow ( or greatly ) offended you.

You can make speculations and assumptions, about pretty much anything.
Plus, even though it was never confirmed by Game Freak, the anime has a female Lugia (it's has a baby Lugia so you can assume it's female)

EDIT - actually, in the Kyurem movie, Cobalion and Terrakion have male voices while Virizion clearly has a female voice.
