Is it possible to have more than a 6+ stat boost?

I went on Diamond and used Bulk Up 7 times. How come it didn't say
'But It Failed!'

6 stat boosts is the highest you can have. For example, you can only use Harden 6 times before you can't use it anymore. If you were able to get more than 7 boosts, you would eventually be undefeatable. That's how Game Freak probably wanted it to be.

The reason why you used Bulk Up 7 times and it still worked is because your stats got lowered while you were using Bulk Up and you didn't realize it.

No, the most you can get is +6/x4.

Source - experience and it is mentioned on the descriprion of every move that increases stats, like Swords Dance.

No, it isn't possible.

You must have counted wrong, because it would have said that. Or something similar to that.
It is never possible to get beyond a +6 boost.
