What is STABmons?

STABmons (originally introduced as Super STAB) developed around a very basic concept: give every Pokémon access to every move based on its typing.

That means that, for example, a Poison/Grass type Pokemon can have any Poison or Grass move in the game, etc.
Also, if a Pokemon changes type when evolving, the fully evolved form can get all the moves that the prevolved form's type was.
Example: Drapion can learn any Bug type move in the game, because it's pre-evolution, Skorupi, is half Bug type.

If a Pokemon changes it's typing during battle, it can only learn the moves of the type it enters the match with (e.g mega Gyarados cant have every Dark type move Meloetta cant have every Fighting type move, etc.).

Thanks make it an answer and i'll upvote :)
Umm "Thread" is spelled wrong
My laggy computer xd
I think I added way too many lol
lol are you doing LC too?
Was planning to, but no more xD
When I started that, it wasn't a thread, now it is though so I'll avoid any more of them xD
Wow in  6 hours this grew into a thread.
Sawsbuck has access to a massive variety of moves being both Normal and Grass type, too bad it isn't very good on the competitive scene.
Btw, you guys got it wrong. You ARE allowed Mega Pokemon. In fact, Mega-Tyranitar is one of them most popular Pokemon going right now. In the official tier, all they said is that a mega pokemon doesn't transfer it's typing over, so Mega Gyarados can't learn all dark type moves, because it doesn't enter the match as dark type. This goes for all Pokemon that change typing during battle for any reason, it's not specific for Megas.

There are several Pokemon that are good with the STAB they get.

Uber class:

1] Porygon-Z: This Pokemon can run a Specs and STAB Boomburst in STABmons, which is unacceptably strong. Hence it was turned Uber.

2] Sylveon: Since Pokemon can also get moves that their pre-evolutions can get STAB from, Sylveon gets a Pixilated Boomburst, which is again, unacceptably strong. Hence in Uber class.

OU:

1] Scizor: This one has a lot going for it. First off it can get access to King's Shield, which is a boon for any physically defensive Pokemon. It can also use the slightly gimmicky Fell Stinger, which while not 100% reliable, will fetch a gigantic boost if it KOs a target. And then there is Gear Grind.

2] Ferrothorn: Also gets King's Shield and Spiky Shield to utilize. Gets Synthesis to heal itself back, which is completely terrible.

3] Breloom: Storm Throw Breloom always crits, that compounded with 130 base attack and Technician is bound to hurt a lot . It also gets Arm Thrust, which, like Bullet Seed, is also threatening.

4] Landorus-T: Imagine being hit by a Brave Bird from 145 base attack. Nothing to toy with. Can also utilize Spikes now.

5] Kyurem-B: This thing's power was completely off the charts anyway, but in STABmons, it gets Icicle Crash. Nothing more to say.

6] Gyarados: Same reasons as Lando, but this won't be as tragic.

7] Espeon: Eeveelutions all got a credit to Boomburst, which means this thing will hit like the devil and abuse it to the most. It also get's Shell Smash and Baton Pass, which is absurd. Psycho Boost is shattering when it comes from this thing as well.

8] Vaporeon: This is one of those Pokemon that can actually make use of Noble Roar, and then do the Shell Smash + Baton Pass trick quite easily.

9] Sableye: Prankster Dark Void is not something to mess around with at all. Nor is Destiny Bond, since Mega Banette is nowhere in STABmons.

10] Scolipede: While it can utilize Tail Glow/Quiver Dance itself, the ability to Baton Pass is what is monstrous. Attack Order is also a useful move to carry.

11] Conkeldurr: You don't want to see a High Jump Kick coming from this.

12] Heatran: The volcano Pokemon with Eruption. This thing hurts like a truck.

13] Latios/Latias: If there is anything it might drop Psyshock for, it has to be Psystrike. And Spacial Rend also comes into play here.

14] Azumarill: This thing's Explosion is the last thing you want to hear. Also it gets Crabhammer now.

15] Togekiss: Once Geomancy with Power Herb and this thing can make itself home.

16] Thundurus-T: Oblivion Wing is gonna be this thing's best way of healing.

UU:

1] Aerodactyl: This thing now benefits from Brave Bird/Head Smash + Rock Head. Now that is a demon straight out of Jurassic Park.

2] Alakazam: You can pretty much define it as the abuser of Psycho Boost or Psystrike.

3] Darmanitan: Sacred Fire + Sheer Force + Life Orb. If there's anything that makes you want to run for your scarfer, it has to be this. Otherwise V-Create is also used.

4] Celebi: Looking for a Seed Flare/Spore/Luster Purge user? Get it all in one in this small packet.

5] Victini: A full accuracy Blue Flare is all that needs to be said.

6] Wobbuffet: Psywave on this? Or even screens? This thing has a whole array of moves to choose from.

7] Gothitelle: Any and every Psystrike/Psycho Boost can hurt, but much more when you are trapped. Gothitelle knows that as well.

8] Lucario: Shift Gear is gonna become common with this. And now it can also use Secret Sword.

9] Hydreigon: Nasty Plot is this monter's thing. Use it. Maybe even throw in Spacial Rend and Parting Shot for more fumes on the opponent's side.

10] Forretress: If there was one entry hazard it didn't get, it is Sticky Web. And STABmons has provided that with a sloooow U-Turn as well.

11] Kingdra: Kingdra has sets through which it can crit every time. How does a critical hit on a Water Spout sound though? Hopefully the answer isn't needed.

RU:

1] Braviary: This thing can use Rock Climb with Sheer Force, and is probably the only Pokemon to ever do so. You can use Bounce + Sheer Force as well, but then switching is a problem. Shell Smash is also a thing though, especially with Life Orb.

2] Drapion: This scorpion got it's love in STABmons because of it's access to Coil. Now if you compound that with a prioritised Sucker Punch and a better accuracy Gunk Shot and Megahorn, and possibly Parting Shot, I don't even know why this thing is RU.

3] Electivire: Beastly Attack. Volt Tackle. I have nothing to say here.

4] Jolteon: Again, Eeveelution boons with Boomburst.

5] Whimsicott: Prankster Spore? Sure thing. Prankster Defog? Hell yeah. The list is never ending with this one.

6] Durant: Hustle boosted Megahorn is not enough, Hone Claws and Iron Tail should happen as well.

7] Sigilyph: All kinds of fun stuff, like Oblivion Wing and Psycho Boost/Psystrike.

8] Golbat: Unlike Crobat, it can utilize Eviolite, so it's actually a better user of Toxic Spikes.

9] Registeel: Oh my god. This thing is incomplete without King's Shield. And now it has it.

10] Yanmega: Quiver Dance is not the only move here, Tail Glow is equally terrorizing. If not more, that is. And now Aeroblast is the new move it can use. gg

There are plenty more, but in my opinion these are all of the major ones.

I've never done NU before though, so this is as far as I will go (just saw that it was a thread xD)

Hope I helped!

No one mentioned this guy:

enter image description here

Bibarel @ Focus Sash
Ability: Simple
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Adamant nature
-Shell Smash
-Crabhammer
-Extreme Speed
-Super Power

Simple + Shell Smash. He even has access to STAB Aqua Jet and Extreme Speed, so even priority can't stop him.

enter image description here

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid nature
-Water Spout
-Aura Sphere
-Hidden Power[Dark]
-Surf

Water Spout on Choice Specs Keldeo is amazing. Choice Scarf is also a good option for this set, in which case you can run modest. Aura Sphere is reliable and powerful STAB. Hidden Power Dark hits his counters, and Surf is a backup for when you lose too much HP. It works even better in rain.

Now for a defensive one...

enter image description here

Gourgeist-Super @ Leftovers
Ability: Frisk
EVa: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 Atk
Careful nature

-Cotton Guard/Spore
-Spiky Shield
-Shadow Force
-Toxic/Seed Bomb

This is a great counter to a lot of STABmons, mainly SS and ES spammers, like Bibarel. Cotton Guard is a great move, and because of this I prefer to run fully specially defensive. Spiky Shield is for stalling and is an overall good move. Toxic for Toxic stalling, or Seed Bomb to be more offensive.

I can't believe I missed this one!

enter image description here

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVa: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Timid nature
-Dark Void
-Nasty Plot
-Dark Pulse/Night Daze
-Surf/Hydro Pump/Ice Beam

Now in STABmons Greninja finally gets a good stat raising move! Dark Void on the first turn, and begin setting up Nasty Plot. Then, just sweep with your coverage moves.

Bibarel is god
You could have Baton Pass on that Bibby Baby
+1 for that bibarel

I do believe you have all missed one:
enter image description here
Malamar @ I do not know yet I am terrible with items
Ability:
Contrary
Nature: Mild
EVs: 252 SP Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Atk
-Super Power
-Night Daze
-Psycho Boost
-Stored Power

Utter Destruction. Beat Bibarel. By the way +1 for that Bibarel.

by
You're right, I did forget that one o.o
*upvotes*
You could even get rid of Night Daze and go with cosmic Power
Cosmic Power wouldn't be a good idea with Contrary...
3 votes

Let's see what people missed...

-Scizor gets Shift Gear as well as Gear Grind, etc.

-Jolteon and any Eeveelution can get Judgement and get an instant 100 BP coverage move. Or any other plate. Jolteon gets BoltBeam this way.

-Thundurus-Therian + Oblivion Wing

-Tornadus-Therian + Oblivion Wing

-Charizard Y + Oblivion Wing + Blue Flare

-Thousand Arrows Ground types

-Geomancy Unburden Slurpuff

-Geomancy + Spore Whimsicott

-Volt Tackle Luxray

-Extremekiller any Normal type

-BellyKiller any normal type

-Steam Eruption any water type

-Light of Ruin any Fairy type

-Diancie becomes viable

-Oblivion Wing any Flying type

-Brave Bird any Flying type

-Any strong move / good support / boosting move + any Pokemon of that type

And that's all I really have.

by
Charizard Y is not allowed :P
STABmons means that there will be no megas
I assumed Gen 6 STABmons had megas, as well as mentioned only 1 mega. I only saw Lenub use it in the STABmons tour, so I wouldn't know/care.

Here's a great one-

Cloyster @ Focus Sash
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly nature
-Water Shuriken
-Icicle Spear
-Rock Blast
-Shell Smash

Here comes Priority Water Shuriken along with Skill Link = EPICNESS!

Ok, here goes...

enter image description here

One of the two popular Prankstermons, Whimsicott now has access to Spore and it definitely abuses it. 116 Speed is a nice trolly number, but with Prankster it can divert Speed EVs to bulk. It maintains its old antics with Leech Seed, Encore, Taunt, Protect, Substitute, Cotton Guard, and Switcheroo, but now gets things like Seed Flare, Synthesis, and Aromatherapy. Generally it can handle its rival Sableye with faster Speed and Spore, but its downfall are Sap Sippers, Magic Bounce, and Grass-types that brush off Leech Seed or Grass-type attacks (but they still must watch out for Spore).
It was noted that Vital Spirit Magmortar shrugs off Whimsicott. A Magic Coat trapper like Wobbufett or Gothitelle could also do the trick.

enter image description here

This Simple (pardon the pun) little guy has been the joke of Pokemon for a long time. Now, with access to Shell Smash, basically a +4 boost to Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, and priority ExtremeSpeed and Aqua Jet, it can become a problem in no time. Crabhammer, Waterfall, and Superpower are other options, as Normal and Water have decent coverage with Fighting. Belly Drum is usable, but doesn't gain anything from Simple, and is better done elsewhere. Amnesia & Curse or Stockpile & Swords Dance with ExtremeSpeed and Aqua Jet could also fit together. Without Superpower or Nature Power it can't get through most Steel-types, however. Pluck is gimmicky and only useful in stealing Lum Berries but not reliable or powerful enough.
Ferrothorn, Empoleon, Shedinja, Jellicent, and Unaware Quagsire are nice checks against it unless it carries Fighting for the first two and Pluck for Shedinja.
Should you want to take advantage of Bibarel's Simple boosts without making him completely offensive, Baton Pass can go alongside Shell Smash to pass +4 A/SA/SP to something like ... Kyurem-B? Landorus? Guts Ursaring? But remember it will also pass along -2 to Defense and Special Defense, so adding a White Herb somewhere is a good idea.

More to be added...

Just pointing out that Grass types are immune to Spore in Gen VI ...

Yeah, I hit the word limit, so I'm gonna type down this answer seperately:

1
Talonflame @Focus Sash
Ability: Gale Wings
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack / 164 Speed / 92 Defense
- Shell Smash
- Sacred Fire
- Acrobatics
- Extremespeed / Baton Pass

Also...

2
Espeon @Fist Plate
Ability: Magic Bounce
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
- Shell Smash
- Stored Power
- Judgement
- Shadow Ball

T-flame and Espeon were both Normal types once, look how they abuse that.
Oh dat No Guard Fissure Golurk though.

by
Why have you given espeon the fist plate?
Judgment.
Oh right.

Weavile
Weavile!

In STABmons, it can get Crunch, a powerful STAB move it can't get normally.

Weavile@Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
Nature: Adamant (+Attack -Special Attack)
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 HP
Crunch
Icicle Crash
Brick Break
Aerial Ace

AND

Sableye
Sableye!

It gets some awesome status moves in STABmons, which work brilliantly with Prankster. This set works really well:

Sableye@Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
Nature: Adamant (+Attack - Special Attack)
EVs: 252 HP/128 Defense/128 Special Defense
Dark Void
Curse
Destiny Bond
Shadow Sneak

by
edited by
I would honestly give it Aerial Ace, because screw Fighting types.
Oh yeah... I've never used Weavile before :P
Why Choice Scarf tho?
Weavile naturally outspeeds almost the whole of the OU, other than Talonflame (which you are not hoping to outspeed anyway :P), so rather go for Focus Sash or, if you are an extremist, Choice Band.
lol, it gets Icicle Crash through breeding

Some you forgot

Jirachi is epic with Luster Purge ALWAYS lowering S.Def thanks to Serene Grace running a mixed set hes boss cool yeah.

With acess to STAB thousand arrows and sucker punch with lots of support moves by being Rock,Ground and dark so watch out for him!

With Hurricane,Aeroblast and special rend on his side he's the best special sweeper ever.

w/ nasty plot?yep

He gets d-dance

by

I thought that thousand arrows was a ground type move
It is, but because pupitar is rock and ground so tyranitar gets every ground move.

My Bad, I didn't realise a Pokemon got access to all the moves of its' type...

Anyway, here are some legit STABmons. Enjoy.

Breloom

Breloom@Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -Sp.Atk) or Adamant (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
- Spore
- Leech Seed
- Focus Punch/Drain Punch/Mach Punch/Seed Bomb
- Focus Punch/Drain Punch/Mach Punch/Seed Bomb

Put them to sleep with Spore. Then leech or Focus Punch (Focus Punch if you want, although the move is risky to some extent: less so with this moveset though). Other moves are somewhat optional.

Draipon

Draipon@Scope Lens/Razor Claw
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk / 180 Def / 76 HP
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Cross Poison
- Night Slash
- Knock Off/Pursuit

Set-up the Toxic Spikes and then use STAB Cross Poison and STAB Night Slash with high critical hit ratios supported by Sniper and a Scope lens/Razor Claw. Knock Off to remove items or Pursuit for Pursuit trapping.

Ferrothorn

Ferrothorn:@Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Spe)
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
- Ingrain/Iron Defence

Stall with Leech Seed and Ingrain/Iron Defence and attack with Gyro Ball and Power Whip whilst damaging those who attack you with the Rocky Helmet- Iron Barbs combo.

Ambipom

Ambipom@Normal Gem/Silk Scarf
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
- Fake Out
- Last Resort
- Work Up [*optional*]

Use Technician and Normal Gem/Silk Scarf Boosted Fake Out then Spam powerful Last Resorts. Work Up is optional if you want to risk spending a turn increasing stats.

Sigilyph

Sigilyph@Flame Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
Nature: Calm (+Sp.Def, -Atk)
- Psycho Shift
- Cosmic Power
- Roost
- Stored Power

Use Psycho Shift to burn the opponent damaging them and lowering their attack stat (you won't get damaged because of Magic Guard). Then use Cosmic Power and Roost to max out your defence and special defence whilst restoring HP. Then use Stored Power which no has a BST of 390 [including STAB].

Mega Pokemon are not allowed in STABmons, and as far as I see, I don't see even one pokemon utilizing the twist of this feature though.
*Removed* Thanks Qwerty Zoom.
