Following are a few counters to Talonflame in Doubles:

  • Rotom-W: By far one of the most common counters to Talonflame. It resists both the STABs of Talonflame and can easily OHKO it with an uninvested Hydro Pump. Even outside of acting like a counter to Talonflame, Rotom-W is very useful as it provides amazing utility.

Rotom-Wash (Washington) @ Sitrus Berry
EVs: 252 HP / 136 SpA / 120 SpD
Calm Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Protect

  • Rotom-H: This other Rotom actually ends up walling Talonflame much better, as it also resists U-turn and is immune to Will-O-Wisp variants. It can KO back with a Thunderbolt, simultaneously completely shutting it down as well.

Rotom-Heat @ Safety Goggles
EVs: 200 HP / 88 SpA / 220 Spe
Modest Nature
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Protect

  • Tyranitar: While Tyranitar doesn't exactly enjoy eating a Banded U-turn, it can immediately come in on any other attack and threaten to KO back with Rock Slide. It can also prevent escape with Pursuit whenever the need arises.

Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Low Kick / Pursuit
- Protect

  • Heatran: Heatran, unlike the previous counters, can easily switch into a Flare Blitz and take no damage from it. While it can't always carry Stone Edge to threaten Talonflame with a super effectively, it doesn't take anything from a Talonflame, pretty much forcing it to switch out or U-turn.

Heatran @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 56 HP / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Protect

  • Pokemon with Quick Guard: One of the most visibly recognizable things about Talonflame is Gale Wings i.e priority. Pokemon with Quick Guard can entirely stop that. Some examples include Meowstic and Scrafty.

Meowstic @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Quick Guard
- Safeguard
- Charm

Scrafty @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Atk / 12 Def
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- Crunch
- Quick Guard

  • Other Rock types: Rock types in general resist both of Talonflame's STAB moves, making them good counters. Examples include the aforementioned Tyranitar and Aerodactyl.

Hope I helped!

Let me try-

1. Stealth Rock + Priority

I know SR is not popular in Doubles, but after SR, Talonflame loses 50%, and it can be taken out with priority. Any good Stealth Rock setter who can take hits will work, but I'm listing Empoleon.

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Flash Cannon
- Icy Wind

Now you need priority, the best Pokemon for the job is-

Lucario @ Lucarionite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Bullet Punch

+2 252 Atk Mega Lucario Extreme Speed vs. 120 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 250-295 (76.4 - 90.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

2. Rock-types

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Protect

Tyranitar is a great counter because it resists Talonflame's STABs and can KO it with one Rock Slide. Preferably pair it wit something that has Protect or is Flying-type.

If I think of some more, I'll add them later.

Stealth Rocks aren't really that common in Doubles, as there is less switching.
I knew that, but still lol
