Why can't I catch legendaries at mirage spots?

Question

I've beat the game and the delta episode and everything. I've caught Ho-oh and Heatran, but my problem is that I can't seem to catch any of the trio's at Pathless Plain, Trackless Forest, or Nameless Cavern. I click on the portal and it only says "A mysterious ring is floating in the air..." and that's it. Nothing. I have all the requirements: max friendship with a Pokemon, max ev value with a Pokemon, and two legendaries in my party. I'm just wondering what I'm missing :/

''A mysterious ring is floating in the air''

You get that message when you have either fainted or caught the Pokemon inside it

So in conclusion you probably are just re-visiting one of your old mirage spots wher you fainted the previous Pokemon or caught it. Try another one or try again tomorrow.

Then look somewhere else. I'm sorry but this is obviously not going to let you get that legendary. Make sure you haven't done what I said in my answer and caught or fainted it. I hate to cry glitch but this could be one.

I've went to Pathless Plain with 3 maxed EV pokemon...but neither of the three pokemon will appear...also i never fought them...what am i doing wrong?

i heard that legendaries can only be caught between a 12 hour period. I had the same problem until I tried later that night and now I'm catching Virizion right now
