Why can't I find any Trapinch?

I've been searching for it in route 111 and I've seen more Baltoy and Cacnea than a Trapinch. Wasn't it more common to find Trapinch than those 2?

I think you're just having bad luck
However, Trapinch, Cacnea and Baltoy all have an equal chance of appearing, as they have 20% encounter rate if you're walking through the desert. Keep searching, as I'm sure you'll find one.
