Is Ditto a good Pokemon?

I want to use a Ditto with Imposter but I want to know if it is a good Pokemon to use competitive battles. If it is good how do you use him effectively? Also when Ditto transforms, does it copy stats? And does Quick Powder double speed if Ditto is transformed into another Pokemon?

Ditto can be good competitively, but usually only as a revenge killer. Yes, Ditto copies stats when it transforms. This means you will speed tie with the opponent, unless Ditto is holding the Choice Scarf. Choice Scarf is definitely the best option for Ditto.

Also, Quick Powder is useless, because it does not work on the transformed Ditto.
