Does STAB exist in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team?

I was wondering whether to link Swords Dance with Thief or Secret Power on an Absol. For those who don't know, STAB is Same-Type Attack Bonus that gives a move with the same type as the user an extra 1.5 times power.
