Poison Point activates when the Pokémon with the ability is hit by a contact move, but Poison Touch activates if the Pokémon with the ability uses a contact move.

It's kind of like the difference between poisonous and venomous.

If you punch it and you get poisoned, then it has Poison Point. If it punches you and you get poisoned, then it has Poison Touch.
"What if it punches me and it gets poisoned?"
Then you have Poison Point.
"What if it punches itself and I get poisoned?"
Then it's confused, and you're holding a Toxic Orb.
"What if it punches me and somebody else gets poisoned?"
You're in a Double or Triple Battle.
"What if we punch each other and neither of us get poisoned?"
...I'll let you finish the joke.
