Where is the rival in Heartgold and Soulsilver after dragon's den?

I have just done (and I really mean just done) the double battle with him, Lance, and Clair so where is he at now?

He can be found at the Dragon's Den on Tuesdays and Thursdays contemplating his training, but thats it. he won't battle you or anything.

Actually, according to this answer, http://pokemondb.net/pokebase/246197/where-is-silver-for-the-seventh-battle-in-hg-ss?show=246198#a246198 you can actually rebattle your rival on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Pokemon Leauge building.
