Difference in Evolution themes?

So, in my quest to complete the Pokedex, I've noticed something with the evolution themes and backgrounds. Sometimes, when a Pokemon evolves, the background will be blue, and play a regular evolution theme. Other times, the background will be green, and a tropical-ish remix of the evo theme will play. Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, know what causes it?

The blue and green background and tropical remix of the evolution theme plays when you're evolving or hatching a Pokemon with an Alolan Form, such as Vulpix and Sandshrew.
