I noticed that many people don't use Fly due to the ability to be set up on. However, Sky Drop is very similar, although used more in competitive play. Why would this be? Thanks!

I don't play competitive anymore, but I think the simple reason is that if you're using it on a fast Pokémon like Aerodactyl, you can take one opponent out of the game for a turn and disrupt your opponent's set-up (e.g. Rage Powder), gaining you momentum.
Thanks, Astronautical :)

I used to play VGC and whenever Sky Drop was used, it was for this reason. If anyone has any other reasons, please tell me!

Astro is an editor, now. You can't do this stuff to him. He'll ban you.
Did you see the original text?
I am wounded. Deeply. Wounded.
You can change it back if you want to, it was done as a joke.
Thanks again, The Great and Wise Astronautical! Sky Drop can totally immobilize the opponent in the air, making it somewhat better than Fly :O
An Aerodactyl used Sky Drop on a Virizion I was using but it said it was too heavy to be lifted.
Yeah, Sky Drop doesn't work with heavy Pokemon like that... And why the heck is Virizion over 440 pounds (200 kg)??!
Nah, it's cool :D
