If a wild mew or ditto uses transform, and you catch it, will you get the transformed verion or just the original form because if you get the transformed version this would be a great way of farming legendaries.
Please anwser if you know.
A Pokemon that has used the move transform will revert back to it's original species (i.e. Ditto) upon been caught, after it faints or is switched out of battle. This is because Transform is only a temporary move that only lasts from the time it's used until caught/fainted/switched out. The only exception to this is a glitch in generation 1 because any caught Pokemon that is under the effects of Transform will automatically become a Ditto. Mew is the only other Pokemon in gen 1 to know Transform and so is the only Pokemon affected by this glitch.
