Can Crafty Shield be useful?

Klefki's other Signature Move before Magearna took it. Can it be useful?

It's mostly outclassed by protect in singles, and status moves are less common in doubles. I think no.

Crafty Shield is a pretty substantial move for Double Battles, which protects the team from status moves for 1 turn. This can be a useful counter against threats such as hazards, Dark Void, etc. Fortunately, this useful move is usable by useful Pokémon, as Klefki and Magearna are great in Double Battles because of their abilities.

In other words, Crafty Shield is pretty useful.

In doubles, almost all Pokemon pretty much only carry attack moves and protect, so crafty shield would rarely be useful.
