Could I change my 3DS time in order to evolve Rockruff into Dusk Lycanroc?

Dusk Lycanroc will only be obtained if I evolve my event Rockruff between 5:00 PM and 5:59 PM in game. Because I’m playing Ultra Moon, I would have to evolve it at 5 in the morning in real life. So, if I change the time on my 3DS to 5 in the morning, could I still evolve the Rockruff, or will the game lock me out?

Yes you can change your time to evolve Rockruff. I have done it already to evolve my Cubone (To evolve it needed to be night, it was night irl but I have UM so I had to switch time)
