So, I was wondering if Venoshock (base 65) would double damage (if target is poisoned) and then double again because of the Z-Move upgrade. So, would it go from 65 to 130, and then from 130 to 260?

Z-Moves don't double the power of moves. Z-Moves cap out at 200 and their minimal damage is 100.
I was wondering about that, never actually kne until now. Does that mean Z-Explosion is useless?
No, it isn’t useless. Sure, it does less damage but it doesn’t kill itself. 200 BP Z-Moves can be very useful.
