So, first things first let me get this out of the way. Yes, the X/Y legendary auras CAN in fact stack on top of each other, making for insane damage boosts (found in the article here). What I am now wondering is, do reversed auras also stack?

The reason that I am asking this is because, while on showdown about 30 minutes ago I got a Xerneas in randoms. my opponent brought out his alakazam and Mega-evolved it, giving it trace and thus, fairy aura. even with a geomancy boost I didn't expect a moonblast to kill from full, however, it did. that lead me to wonder if it could stack, and after the battle I looked it up and found the aforementioned page. this lead me to wonder, how does this effect work with Aura Break? and thus we are here.

moral of the story, don't send out a trace mon against a xerneas unless it has a stab fairy move.

Which effect? The effect of the trace or effect of the stacked aura.
trace copies the auras, thats what i intended to be meant
I changed the wording of the title so it's more of a question, I hope you don't mind. This is an interesting thread.

If you are talking about the stacked aura then the aura break will have the reverse effect which means the move will have 33.3%*2=66.6% less powerful. For proof http://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Aura_Break_(Ability)

can you please link the article? i was unable to find it
I have edited the answer. And the aura break will deal double effect because at that time there will be 2 auras 1.Original 2.Traced.
im still not sure if there is an exception, coding wise it makes sense to have an if statement like "if Aura break is active subtract instead of add to zero" or something. but im not sure. if it does multiply the effects then it will actually go into positives though
Your answer conflicts with your own source. The source says it divides by 4/3, not subtracts 1/3. And the Bulbapedia article for dark aura says that the effect doesn't stack if multiple Pokemon have the ability.
not sure if that is the case for regular pokemon but showdown definitely either has or had it
Can you get a replay of an aura ability stacking?

The effects will not stack multiple times if more than one Pokémon has this Ability.
