How come that miltank can hit my gastly?

i was battling whitney with gasty and something odd happen her miltank can hit my gasty with stomp since gastly are immune to normal-types

The Miltank had the ability Scrappy, which makes it to where Normal and Fighting moves hit Ghost type Pokemon.
