I found a Shiny Gligar in my Platinum version, and wasn’t paying attention so didn’t see the sparkles. I caught it quickly and looked at its summary. I have never played Platinum before, so didn’t know where to look to find the red star. Is my Gligar not Shiny? Or is it a glitch in the game?

I mean... If it's blue it's shiny and if it's pink it's not

The red star that indicates a shiny Pokémon appears in the top right corner of the Trainer Memo (the second tab in the summary).

Thanks to both of you!
Now I realize it’s not shiny... :( never found a shiny and I’m itching to do so!

If it's worth noting, Gligar's sprite colors have never been consistent with the official artwork since Gen 2 until HeartGold and SoulSilver. It's a weird situation stemming from the discoloration in the Ruby and Sapphire sprites that carried on to Gen 4
