Does the Punk Rock ability affect Metal Sound?

Just got myself toxel with metal sound (egg move), toxtricity has the ability punk rock who power sound based moves, will metal sound reduce more special Defense with punk rock ability?

It shouldn't.  Stat altering moves, historically, don't change this way.  Amplifying abilities, historically, only affect damage.

Sound-based moves used by a Pokémon with Punk Rock are boosted by 30%, and Pokémon with Punk Rock take half damage from sound-based moves.

Therfore, yes, it technically does. Exept that Metal Sound is a status move (doesn't do damage), so the effect does nothing. So in reality, no it does not.
