Does Strong Jaw affect Max Moves if the base move was a biting attack?

Are the damage from max moves affected by strong jaw if the base move was a bite move?

Answer 1

No. Max moves are considered as different moves from the base move, the base move only affects their power and if it's a Gmax move. Properties of the move like being a bite attack don't carry over to max moves.

Just to add on, besides having its power dependent on the base move, Max moves also "inherits" the typing and physical/special move distinction from the base move.
