Can I still play these games online?

Question

Can I still battle other players online in Omega Ruby? What about in Ultra Moon? If yes then how do I do that in both games?

I'm curious about this because someone told me in Omega Ruby you cannot do it anymore and I wanna know the validity of his information

When the servers for 3DS games are inevitably discontinued, it's extremely likely that fan-based custom servers will become available. They're already around for DS and Wii games, courtesy of Wiimmfi. But you don't have to worry about that for now.

Yes, you can still use the online features in both of those games. Nintendo is still making games for the 3ds so they probably wouldn’t shut down the internet servers.
