What is the fastest way to get sneasel in Pokemon Platinum?

I would like to know what is the fastest method to get sneasel in Pokemon Platinum. Another question of mine is that whether I can encounter sneasel inside Mt.Coronet? I'm trying to get one for my playthrough. Any help is appreciated :)

Whether in terms of when you can encounter it the earliest or where its encounter rate is highest, Route 216 is your best bet; it's the earliest point where you can find it, and it's also where its encounter rate is highest of all the locations it's available, at 35%. This also means that Sneasel is not found within Mt. Coronet, unfortunately.
