Ehh excuse me on the title, I wasn’t sure what punctuation I should do.

So, I’m building a Sand Team... my first weather team. I know I want Excadrill, Corviknight, and Ryperior. But... I’m having trouble on my sand setter, and I know both Hippowdon and Tyranitar have Sand Stream and that they are good at setting sand in OU. Should I use both? If not, which should I use?

Movesets... you can do em if you’d like.

I think Tyranitar is better than Hippowdown. It has better physical attack and offensive typing, doesn't share a type with Excadrill, gets STAB rock slide, and is better at using weakness policy.
I prefer Tyranitar.  I’m in fact using it in OU.
Yeah I bring Tyranitar to Ubers, so im pretty confident that it will do well :P

Tyranitar has higher physical attack, more weaknesses, and sandstorm-boosted special defense, so it's better at using a weakness policy.

Tyranitar @ weakness policy
Ability: sand stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant nature
- stealth rock
- protect
- rock slide
- crunch

I’ll probably run Jolly for the extra speed boost, but I like the set! Thanks!

Tyranitar is better stat-wise but has a pretty bad defensive typing, hippowdon is decent stats and pretty ok typing personally I prefer hippowdon

Hippowdon w/smooth rock ability: sand stream
EVs: if you want to attack HP 252 Atk 252 Spd 4
Moves:
Slack-off
Earthquake
Curse
Heavy-slam

Because of the sandstorm its spd is pretty good so it can be fairly tanky. hope you like it Y.

Sandstorm raises special defense for rock types only, so Hippowdon's low special defense and speed and water weakness makes it vulnerable to special attackers. Earthquake is bad in doubles because it hits allies, and I don't think heavy slam covers any important threats.
