Pokémon with Brilliant Aura are special in multiple ways. First off, they have at least two guaranteed IVs at maximum. In addition to that, they will also have an Egg Move that the species can usually get only by breeding. For example, if you caught a Rookidee in Route 2, it could end up having the Egg Move Sky Attack.

You caught a Brilliant Aura Rookidee that ended up having Sky Attack.

Hope this helped!

Sniped again by a better answer. Dang it, Nebby.
Thanks, I was wondering why my brother's rookidee had roost!

If it was surrounded in a yellow aura, a Pokemon has a chance of getting an Egg Move. If Rookidee was like this, that's why it knows Sky Attack.

Hope I helped!
