I'm trying to find the best way to defeat a Shell Smash Cloyster with Focus Sash.
Right now, my best method is using Scizor with Choice Band.
I can use Bullet Punch to break the Focus Sash while the Cloyster does Shell Smash.
Then, with STAB, Techincian ability, and Choice Band, Bullet Punch will have 135 base damage. (401.51.5*1.5=135)
Then, with the lowered Defence and Priority, I think I can defeat Cloyster with 1 Bullet Punch.
What are soe other methods to defeat Shell Smash Cloyster?

propity moves.
Toxic + protect
Priority, speedy Pokémon, multi hitting moves
Protect doesn't keep working, and that Pokemon may be one shot by Cloyster before even setting up Toxic, and if your Pokemon is not a Poison type, there is a chance the move will miss
This is for competitive, right? What format/rules are you playing with?

Technically, Bullet Punch cannot knock out Shell Smash Cloyster in one hit calculated by the Pokemon Damage Calculator
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. -1 0 HP / 252 Def Cloyster: 126-148 (52.2 - 61.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
But if you give Superpower to Scizor, it can one hit knock out Cloyster
252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Superpower vs. -1 0 HP / 252 Def Cloyster: 332-392 (137.7 - 162.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Aegislash

Another strategy is to get lucky with Aegislash, if Cloyster decides to go for Liquidation twice, then both King's Shield managed to not fail, this should be possible
0+ Atk Cloyster Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 252 Def Aegislash-Blade: 114-135 (43.6 - 51.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
While we do
252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Sacred Sword vs. 0 HP / 252 Def Cloyster: 118-140 (48.9 - 58%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Here is the set:
Aegislash
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- King's Shield
- Sacred Sword
- Psycho Cut
- Shadow Claw

Arceus-Rock

This would be too easy to do
252 SpA Stone Plate Arceus-Rock Judgment vs. -1 0 HP / 4 SpD Cloyster: 1038-1224 (430.7 - 507.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
But Cloyster would move first
+2 0+ Atk Cloyster Liquidation vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Arceus-Rock: 270-318 (70.6 - 83.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Here is the set:
Arceus-Rock @ Stone Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Recover

A Simple Answer
Mostly Pokemons with high defense, super effective against Cloyster or Pokemons with high special Attack
I hoped I've helped!

I messed up. The sets that show -1 stage (or so called, 0.67) are all of the above results.
But can a Brick Break from Scizor Choice Band OHKO it with 0.67 Defence?
Damage: 75*1.5*2=225 Damage becuase its Super Effective
Well.. There is a chance. And Brick Break doesn't lower your defense
252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Brick Break vs. -1 0 HP / 252 Def Cloyster: 208-246 (86.3 - 102%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
Shell Smash Cloyster won't run 252 Defense. Why would you use Secret Sword over Close Combat?

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Cloyster on a critical hit: 217-256 (90 - 106.2%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

It can OHKO on a crit, but it only needs to be a 2HKO

252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Close Combat vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Cloyster: 272-320 (112.8 - 132.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

When it gets down to its Sash, use Shadow Sneak to finish it off.
You can also try hazards to break the sash.

Basically anything with a strong super effective/regular effective STAB and a priority move can easily defeat Cloyster. Some examples are Scizor, Aegislash, etc. There are a few other methods I can think of to defeat it. 1 way I can think of to is to trick a Choice Item to it while it is using Shell Smash. I can think of a couple users like Rotom forms, Celebi and Jirachi among others.
Also, I can of a few other ways. You can Toxic Stall with Toxapex for instance and you will only worry about coverage moves like Rock Blast. Additionally, you can Paralyze it and outspeed it with other Pokemon. Note that this method isn't foolproof and may require you to sack a Pokemon due to it not being Paralyzed. Also, a Burn is extremely crippling to it as it halfs it Attack, and hence, its Skill Link Ability is not nearly as effective.
So, while this is not certainly every way to work around it, these are certainly some ways. My prefered method is Burning it and Priority moves but what whatever works for you.6
