Actually, yes there are specific moths that Dustox is based. One moth that Dustox may be based on is the Luna Moth, but more specifically the Japanese Luna Moth. The reason for this is that it has green wings, learns Moonlight, and has Nocturnal Habits. Dustox's shiny coloration may be based on Moths that mimic dead leaves like the uropyia meticulodina. Also, Dustox may have a Poison Type to represent Moths that carry Toxins.

Wow. I literally went to the Bulbapedia page before asking the question, forgetting that the origin section was at the end of the page, not the start. And that I was drawing the Luna Moth right before I thought of the question. I feel a bit stupid now.
