With the release of the Gigantamax Melmetal, and The Isle of Armor, is shiny GMAX Melmetal possible?

Some of us have shiny Melmetal (for Example, you had the mystery box with the Let’s Go games, and you got a shiny Meltan, which you evolved into Melmetal, and you sent it to HOME, and later into SwSh) now, with the isle of armor, you can make Pokémon GMAX with Max mushrooms. If I had a shiny Melmetal, and tried to give it Max Mushrooms, would the game let me? And more importantly, can I GMAX it?

Unfortunately, at the moment, you cannot obtain shiny G-max Melmetal using max mushrooms :(
