No. Every single ghost type in the tier, including Dragapult, has to compete with a certain horse in the tier. If a ghost type can't find anything to set itself apart from those two, it's not gonna be viable is it is gonna be outclassed. It is also outclassed as a grass type by both Rillaboom and Kartana. Decidueye just doesn't have a niche in ou that other Pokemon can't do. Also, even if Spectrier and Dragapult weren't a thing, every ghost type is just food for dark Urshifu and you do not want to be that vulnerable to that thing

yea, Decidueye doesn't have a niche in OU. If they could switch its special attack with its speed (to make it have 70 special attack and 100 speed) then it could accomplish something, but for now, it makes its home in NU.

Yes, Amazing lure probably the best in the game and was designed as a speciality wallbreaker because of typing and stats beats many great walls. Take immediate advantage of your free turn choose to defog, switch, sub+baton, sunny day or screens when Threatening out the likes of.

Decidueye Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Clefable on a critical hit: 205-243 (52 - 61.6%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO

Huge Negative decidueye loses to pretty much all offensive Pokémon. Prepare to be forced out. And have something Handy for the physical attacker or set up sweeper you lure in.

Also partners well with calm mind or bulk up users and Incinoaror is a great partner covering almost all shortcomings but partner’d like that would have decidueye taking a more supporting background roll.

Recommend Crits for wallbreaking and sub baton to help avoid being easy set up fodder.

Fire Mane [can't spell that on small phone lul] isn't viable in OU, and so isn't Deci something. Dragapult is the premier Ghost- now, and with so many Weavile's around, Deci whatever would have loads of problems...

Not top teir but I can use it as a way to get through tanky cores just fine. You need the right team and your going to be forced to switch like you said by weavile or dragapualt or almost any decent offensive Pokémon. Versus a team with no tanky cores decidueye is dead weight. But even the best Pokémon can be useless if the match ups unfavourable.
