So these are the sets I run for these mons:

Slap my hand! (Snorlax) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 SpA / 0 Spe
- Curse
- Double-Edge
- Heat Crash
- Rest

OWO'nt (Shuckle) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 SpA / 0 Spe
- Guard Split
- Power Split
- Knock Off
- Protect

Of course, I run a TR set.

I've been doing this strat for a while now, and it has taken me really far in Showdown's DOU laddere (I almost reached the 1600). I want to clarify that these 2 are not the whole team, all the other mons are completely made to work for themselves and not for Snorlax (except for my Dusclops). So that's pretty much it. Can this set be midly viable at least?

You didn't ask in that Smogon thread, so I asked for you.

gimmicky strats and traditional singles walls are countered easily in doubles with the use of taunt, fake out, and even simple double targeting (attacking one opponent with both of your mons.) any doubles player that is either: somewhat decent and / or knows the specific nature of the gimmick they are fighting can very easily take advantage of passive mons like shuckle, or the gimmick in question, in order to set up their own sweeper or simply move towards their win condition. I dont know about snorlax specifically, but my guess is that it requires way too much set up and team support (bd + tr, I'm assuming.) I dont doubt that someone reached 1600s on ladder with these techniques because many ladder players do not necessarily meet the aforementioned criterea. you can read my post on defensive mons in doubles for more information on this topic.
