This is kind of late, as I beat it a while ago, but I just remembered, in my X game, I never fought my rival with the first stage starter, as a result, I will never have all 9. She acted like she wanted to battle, but it never triggered one. Was this a glitch, or user error that now cannot be fixed, considering how I progressed in the game's plot.
