Origin
Infernape appears to be based on a monkey. The gold elements in its design, as well as its Japanese name, may be linked to Son Goku, the Japanese interpretation of the character Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong is the main character in the Chinese epic Journey to the West and is a monkey with powerful abilities.

Infernape may also be based on the Vanara, a race of monkey-like humanoids in the Hindu epic Ramayana, specifically Hanuman, who was granted immunity to fire. Hanuman is also believed to have influenced Sun Wukong. It may also be based on Monkey Kung Fu.

Name origin
Infernape may be a combination of inferno and ape.
Goukazaru may be combination of 業火 gōka (hellfire or inferno) and 猿 saru (monkey).

So as our lord Fizz told in his comment, Infernape's name origin cames from "Inferno" and "Ape" while its origin seems to be based upon a monkey. Precisely, its Japanese name is related to Son Goku.

Hope this helps!

This what I got from Bulbapedia's page on Infernape. I personally believe in the Hanuman theory, as well, I'm an Indian and Infernape looks strikingly similar to Hanuman and its typing is also like that (One legend says that Hanuman ate the Sun for a snack).

Hope I Helped
