How is my Wimpod born in 2013?

So hello all. I am doing a Ultra Moon Wonderlocke run inspired by MandJTV's Moon Wonderlocke. I recieved a Wimpod from a wonder trade (of course) and went to look at the stuff about it, and when I looked at when it was born it said that it was born in 2013. So that makes it nine (9) years old right now. But I know for a fact that Pokemon sun and moon didn't come out until 2016. So I want to know how is it so old when it was introduced in sun and moon?

The person who bred it might've set their 3DS clock back to 2013 for whatever reason. Then, when the Egg was received and hatched, it said it was hatched in 2013 even when it really wasn't.

The only way this could happen is if somebody turned their 3ds clock to 2013 when the egg was hatched. It's even possible for the egg to be conceived in, say, 2021, and then the player changes their clock to 2013, and the egg hatches 8 years before it was made.

This is very easy to do.
