What happens when Poltergeist is used on a Pokémon holding a Kasib Berry?

So if a Golurk used Poltergeist on a Dhelmise holding a Kasib Berry, what would be the outcome?

If used on a Pokémon weak to Ghost-type moves holding a Kasib Berry, Red Card, or a Weakness Policy, Poltergeist will still do damage after the item has been consumed, but the item in question still takes effect.
