If Shaymin runs away, can you encounter it again?

Question

When I fought Shaymin in A Token of Gratitude, it ran away immediately. When I looked for it again, it wasn't there. Can I encounter it again?

It should respawn when you leave the Obsidian Fieldlands, then return.  Worked for me twice.

Also, you can soft-reset your game if you knock it out by mistake. That's what I did.

Shaymin is fast, but not too difficult to catch. It does have a tendency to run away, but don't worry, simply return to Jubilife Village and then head back to the Floaro Gardens and it'll reappear.
