Welcome to the ORAS OverUsed team thread! This thread is for showcasing your teams which have fared well on the ladder or in tournaments. In short, it's a thread where you can show off teams without having to go through the trouble of writing up a full RMT. As long as the team is viable enough for the ORAS OverUsed metagame, you're free to post your team in this thread (no gimmicks allowed!!). Now with that being said, here are a few guidelines which you're expected to read before posting:

  • Please post no unfinished teams! Considering this as a smaller sibling of RMT, we would like if you to put some effort into polishing your team before presenting them here. Try to test your teams before posting them here, too. If you want feedback for your team, post it in the RMT section.
  • Commenting on teams is appreciated only when you have some constructive feedback. Random comments are frowned upon, as it causes clutter. And if someone does give feedback on your team, try to take it in the best way possible even if you don't necessarily agree.
  • Try to avoid meaningless discussions arguing about a team. Don't beat the horse to death; further discussions can be taken to wall posts.
  • Including the EVs, nature and all the details is a must. All the sets should be posted in the Showdown! importable format too. (Example here.)
  • Please include a description and importable (through PokePaste) when posting teams! Mentioning the archetype (i.e., Balance, Hyper Offense, Stall etc.) of the team when posting is appreciated too. Try to include at least three lines of description for each Pokémon. Make sure your description addresses specific teambuilding choices and general strategy, as well as any unique sets that might be on your team. Sprites are also appreciated, but not necessary.
  • No more than three answers per post, please! Even if your explanations are concise and up to the point, post different answers if you have a lot of teams to share.

More information about posting can be found here.

That's all, post away!

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Atk / 116 Def / 116 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball

My lead and my hazard user, Ferrothorn is quite bulky so its the best support Pokemon in OU due to its great typing making it only weak to Fire and Fighting and its access to all of the hazard moves makes it useful combined with Leech Seed and Leftovers for some good recovery.

Machamp @ Choice Band
Ability: No Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Cross Chop
- Dynamic Punch
- Stone Edge
- Bullet Punch

I know what your thinking, Machamp isn't that good for OU but it can be if you put the right investments into it, Machamp with No Guard makes it so you cant miss so moves like Cross Chop and Stone Edge will be dealing some good damage with that high attack stat boosted by Adamant nature and with the investments in Attack with the Choice Band you will a great psychical sweeper.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 240 HP / 4 Atk / 132 Def / 132 SpD
Impish Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Haze

Quagsire is an interesting Pokemon competitively, you could argue there are better Water/Ground types but I wanted to give Quagsire more love so the move set provided for it will also be support, Waterfall and Earthquake there for STAB and Recover to restore a lot of hp back added from the Leftovers and Haze to get rid of stat boosts from the opponent however watch out for Grass types as it has that 4x weakness to them, this will annoy your opponent to the point were there might quit and give you the win before leaving.

Snorlax @ Assault Vest
Ability: Immunity
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 204 HP / 160 Atk / 140 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Fire Punch

My bulky psychic sweeper, I put some defense EVs to make it more psychically bulkier as it has the Assault Vest combined with that additional investment in special defense it can be quite a tank whilst dishing out some good hits with the coverage it has, watch out for any Fighting types but overall, Snorlax is a great tank that can put in some work.

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Solar Beam
- Dragon Pulse
- Air Slash

Charizard Y in my eyes is better as its access to Drought making it sunny combined with high special attack boosts its already deadly Fire type STAB with Solar Beam for good coverage against all of its weaknesses with Dragon Pulse to counter other Dragon Types and Air Slash for STAB, Overall a solid Pokemon to use probably the MVP of this team builder.

Manectric @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Lightning Rod
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge
- Flamethrower
- Signal Beam
- Volt Switch

Our revenge killer, Manectric is really good at what is does, out speeding opponents and KOing them with its high special attack combined with good speed to make use of its Choice Scarf with it being also good at pivoting with Choice Scarf+Volt Switch in case you know the opponent is going to use a Ground type move, although its frail its very fast and strong so I wouldn't worry to much about defences, Overall Manetric is a really good Pokemon to use

Note: This team does not acquire you to have shines, this is a Showdown Team so I was easily able to make them shiny, Have fun using this team let me know if there's anything that needs to change :)

The thread's rules require you to mention descriptions for each Pokémon and the team archetype.

How about  https://pokepast.es/aceba9403867dc4f

This team actually went through a lot of changes, but here’s the basics:
You lead with scolipede, which is both a lead hazard setter and lead breaker, despite not learning taunt. I didn’t make it max speed since you’re already pretty fast and could just protect to get +1 soeed. You either toxic the opponent lead or set up t spikes, depending on the situation. You could either protect to get more toxic chip or stack up more hazards. Most lead mons will get heavily damaged by the toxic you inflicted, and a fake out from mega lopunny + toxic damage will nearly always finish them off. Once you’re done, you couuld either choose to pull off a hit or switch to exca, who is both my resident spinner and an offensive threat, who I made max hp to live a hit and spin rocks away to enable the talonflame. From there, talonflame and lopunny are both good endgame cleaners and revenge killers, thanks to talonflame’s huge gale wings brave birds and mega lopunny’s fake out combos. I chose life orb rather than band on talonflame to urilize the you turn and roost. Azu is an obviously good wallbreaker, as it doesn't mind a hit from a wall and sets up belly drum, only taking 25 percent with sitrus, and waterfall slower mons and aqua jet faster ones. Breloom just sleeps a target living on the sash, sets up a swords dance and deal hefty amounts of damage, if not just kill everything in sight and sweep, although it’s coverage is a bit lackluster and is resisted by a lot. That is the gen 6 ho team I built, hope you have a good time using, and make sure to make any changes on it and inform me about any weaknesses and how you would fix them.
