Which move for Ferrothorn?

Question

I have a ferroseed soon to be a ferrothorn should it know toxic or explosion (as a last resort)

It will set up hazards

Ferroseed@ no item (yet)

hp:86 defense: 79 Sp.def: 79

spikes

stealth rock

rollout (to deal with fire types)

explosion/ toxic

I am still raising it

Ex. at 3 hp and i use explosion.

if you can suggest an item please do so :D

Toxic is a great move nether less and is even greater with Ferrothorn's(or your Ferroseed right now) defenses and walling capabilities. Rollout isn't the best choice as most fire types would outspeed you and one hit KO you. Toxic is great with leftovers as at the end of the turn you heal and the opponent takes damage. So leftovers should be your item. You could have protect to stall out your opponent with toxic damage and leftovers healing or you could have additional damage and healing with leech seed.

as a complete last resort explosion might be usefull but used well, toxic can also be good. But seeing as you want a last resort I'd say explosion although rember it will make your pokemon faint to.
