For a playthrough which ability is better? I could find myself making more use of armour tail and I hardly use berries so cud chew could be useless but I'm not sure if its worth it or not. So which is better?

Depends. Are you a frequent berry user, or do you not particularly enjoy priority moves used by the NPCs?
He said in OP he hardly uses berries.
I don't use berries but I'm wondering if i should start using them thats why I'm conflicted between the 2 abilities
My bad, didn’t read the whole thing. If you are going for a more casual playthrough, I would recommend Armor Tail, just so you don’t get spooked by a priority move. If you are going more hardcore, say a Nuzlocke, I would recommend Cud Chew, due to most Nuzlockers being heavy users of berries to keep Pokémon alive in the heat of battle.
Armor Tail is more broadly useful, especially if you consider double battles (which rarely feature in the stories).  There are simply a lot of situations where it can be very good to have it.  Cud Chew is more of a niche thing, given that it specifically uses the Berry again at the end of the next turn.  It gives you a lot more mileage out of Sitris Berry, and...  that's about it.  But doubling the health gained from a Sitris Berry can be a pretty big HP swing depending on the situation.
I'm not so sure that blocking priority has broad utility in playthroughs.

Even though you barely use berries, I personally found Cud Chew Farigiraf better in a sense, due to not a lot of Pokemon, or trainers actually using priority moves, with an exception being Grusha.

Cud Chew gave Farigiraf reliable recovery without having to utilize wish+protect so it could set up calm mind, or perhaps, just attack. With many berries being common, all you have to do is stock up on sitrus berries, which you could find in the wild by picking up the sparkly stuff, which then you just had to give Farigiraf the berry, and it would be good to go!
