They did my boy real good in this game with how strong he is, and logically speaking, Salt Cure does extra chip damage to Water and Steel types to make it more competitively viable. Water makes sense due to how it interacts with salt, but is there any real world explanation on why Steel would be more vulnerable to the salt attack?

Does this count as a Game Freak logic question even though it's easy to answer?
Is it still Gamefreak Logic if it has real world logic?

Steel corrodes at a faster rate in salt water. The presence of salt acts as a catalyst, accelerating the corrosion chemical reaction process.
