How do I recruit Regice in Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time?

How do you recruit regice in time? I’ve already successfully recruited Registeel and Regirock, the two I don’t care about as much. The one I really want is regice. I have the golden mask. Do I just need to keep soft resetting and defeating it until I succeed?

According to this, the base recruitment rate is 50%, so just keep trying and you'll eventually get it.
