Is Trickroom viable in Gen 9 LC?

Is Trickroom viable in Little Cup? I mostly wanna know cause, like, I do wanna make one. But Pokemon in little cup have a lot of tying speed and stuff so idk

Doubt it. TR is historically an inconsistent playstyle and I'd imagine even more so in a format where speed benchmarks are so close together.

Is Trick Room a viable playstyle (or was it ever in the past)?

it hasnt really been a viable pick in any generation of lc ever afaik. while some theoretical viable trick room Pokemon like craniados, etc may be pretty good with it, its just a hard playstyle to make work. mienfoo fake out stalls trick room turns, and clicking trick room does have an oppurtunity cost alongside most trick room Pokemon just not be going considered good
